A PICTURE IS WORTH 22,000 MILES
Mind’s Eye Photographers Travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
ST. LOUIS, August 1, 2008 – For two Mind’s Eye photographers, the perfect client photos are worth a 22,000 mile trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Between July 17 and 25, Mind’s Eye photographers travelled around Kuala Lumpur to shoot scenes of the city for a data storage and data destruction company based in Norcross, GA. In addition to portraits for a poster series, the photographers also captured images from the company’s annual meeting.
The data company has facilities all over the world. Their services range from digital file back-ups to the storage of paper documents and medical records. Each year, the company selects the most innovative and productive facility to host a global leadership meeting. This year, more than 80 attendees gathered in Malaysia to celebrate the plant’s success and make plans for the next year.
For those unfamiliar with the city, Kuala Lumpur is a modern destination complete with fine dining and all the luxuries one would expect to find in Beverly Hills.
The photographers were surprised to learn that nearly everyone speaks English, but their biggest surprise came on their way back to the United States when they saw the sun rise twice in the same day – once on their way to the airport and a second time when crossing the Pacific Ocean.
In addition to shooting company photos, one photographer also captured images of what used to be the tallest buildings in the world, the Petronus Towers and the Blue Mosque.
